At Gracie Barra we strive to help students get the most out of their training. For students with consistency and dedication, our programs will become a life-style and students can readily enjoy all the benefits of the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or the "Gentle Art", Muay Thai Kickboxing, Mixed Martial Arts, and Fitness. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu emphasizes ground fighting techniques and submission holds involving joint-locks and chokeholds also found in numerous other arts with or without ground fighting emphasis. The premise is that most of the advantage of a larger, stronger opponent comes from superior reach and more powerful strikes, both of which are somewhat negated when grappling on the ground.
If Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is one of your interests we have the most credible lineage outside of Brazil. After a life of martial arts and practicing BJJ since 1996, Professor Chad Robichaux “Robo” was promoted in Brazil to the rank of Black Belt and is a direct black belt of the legendary Master Carlos Gracie Jr. and Multiple Time World Champion, Professor David Vieira Da Silva. In addition Professors Octavio Couto Jr. “Ratinho” 4th degree Black Belt, Alex Gotay “Papo” , Black Belt, and many other world class BJJ practitioners can be found coaching on the mat every day. Our BJJ Program is recognized and run per the guidelines of the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF), and the Gracie Barra Association based on a progressive 3 level program: Fundamental, Advanced, and Black Belt; additionally we have a WOMEN’S ONLY BJJ Program.

If Muay Thai is your interest we have the most incredible Coach and team available. This program is lead by Krew Ali Alhalabi, who has been training in the martial arts his entire life. He began in Jordan and reached 4th Dan Black Belt in Kickboxing. Later he went on to pursue Muay Thai, studying under Grandmaster Woody in Thailand achieving the Krew degree. With his training he was later given the distinction to train the Jordan National Team from 2003 to 2007. Under his coaching, the Jordan National Team achieved 1st place in the Arab Championship in 2006. In 2007, Ali was the representative of Jordan in the 2007 World Tournament in Morocco. In 2008, Ali coached his state for Thaiboxing and won the tournament. Through Ali’s coaching, his team went on to win more than 60 medals in kickboxing and Muay Thai tournaments. Whether for a fitness hobby or competition on our Muay Thai team, we can help you meet your individual goals. Our Muay Thai program is also run on a progressive 3 level program based on skill and interest: Levels I, II, & III.
Now, if you’re interested in going for it all, and the sport of Mixed Martial Arts is your dream… we have a slot on Team Robo MMA waiting for you to earn. Through sweet and grit you can earn a spot on the team and get in the cage and fight the scientific art of MMA. Participation on the MMA Team at Gracie Barra requires you to complete the Fundamental BJJ program and Level I Muay Thai program having the skills and “Arts” to “Mix” and have a complete “Mixed Martial Arts” game!
While not a Martial Art, our Fight-Fit program will do nothing less than supersede your individual and optimal level of fitness through a combination of exercise routines and techniques developed to condition fighters for optimal performance and endurance. These unconventional methods of fitness have not only prepared our athletes for competition, but changed many of our student’s lives in the area of health, physical appearance, and mental well being.
